Dr. Suess is still on the LOOSE!

Hi Friends!

We are still Dr. Suessing this week!  There is too much fun stuff to do out there for just a few days, so I extended it AT LEAST through this week!  Today we finished up our Cat in the Hat glyph's from the lovely Deanna Jump.

I had to make some adaptions of course, and it took us awhile to do it, but my kiddos were so PROUD of these.  We went into the hallway where they are hanging today to present to our friends and classmates so it turned into a great social skills lesson.  There was some sort of PD in my building today and all these gen ed. teachers were like WOW - So cute!  They did a great job! I love how they all turned out so cute!

We presented these to the rest of the class in a fairly simple fashion. I modeled how I wanted them to present....

"Good morning everyone.  This is MY Cat in the Hat.  My name is Ms. Rachel.  My cat is wearing a purple hat, my favorite color is purple.... "and we went through the glyph like that, we used the mini glyph books as a prompt! Turned out great!!!

They will be spicing up the entrance hallway for the month of March!

In other news...

That's my car.
I was going about 5mph.
in my parking garage.
that I drive in and out of everyday.
concrete walls do. not. move.

In WAY better news,
I completed another Master's class over the weekend, which I hope explains my absenteeism. I have one more weekend class this month and this semester is finished. YAY.

I just noticed Farley posted March's Currently... yeah! That's on tomorrows agenda!

Plus I got a package in the mail! Stay tuned my friends!

Sorry about your car --- I have done something similar. At school. On a stucco column. That did not move. I understand.
