Our Back to School Tuesday... bahh

Well, well, well, another day in paradise!  hehe.  ok.  I missed my kiddos, it was great to see them.  However, we had two big bathroom issues.  I mean big.  I mean messy.  Anywho, I won't go into details.

I had a new student start today, that went very well.

Swimming was today.  It was not my swim day, thank goodness.  BUT, even though I didn't want to swim I don't like sitting on the side of the pool. It's about 32587234857 degrees in the pool area.  So I was sweating, which I hate.  

Today we did a cute activity I've seen in Pinterest land.  Do you follow me? You should, I have a crap ton of pins.  Like seriously.  And today, I got asked if I would present Pinterest to the school board. Yes, present Pinterest to THE school board.  I said yes.  Assuming all of my wonderful bloggy friends would give me some ideas on what to share and how to share it.

Back to the cute activity..

We used the Melissa and Doug Create A Face Pad... We use these sometimes because sometimes we forget where body parts are and I just thought they would be nice and easy on the first day back from break!  After the "put their face on" and their hair on, they cut their faces out.  Most of the kids did this independently  Some cut the neck, some didn't.  Then we decorate triangle hats with some stickers, cute right?

After that we talked about goals.  I gave examples and made suggestions.  "Follow directions better", "Be a better sharer"etc. etc.  Ms. Rachel's New Year's goal is to exercise more.  Everyone made up a goal and we wrote, traced or hand over hand wrote our goals down. Then we cut out the bubble.  Then we glued our hat and bubble down.
